At a very young age, while still studying business economics, I had to find a way to make somewhere where flexible working hours were no problem. In the middle of the economic crisis, my friends thought I was crazy that I started working in the real estate business. Most of them, who laughed at me at the time, have since work or worked for my company, or sought advice on real estate.
It worked out. Very soon I became one of the top salesman of the company. At the end of the year, I was rewarded with a diploma for my persistent, hard-work and success, as I became the 4th out of 100 in the annual rankings in my first year. However, after one year, I thanked for my support and started to make my living as a self-employed real estate agent. I joined a group of friends and we worked together. The team worked so efficiently that soon we became an attractive alternative to our former colleagues. We had the opportunity employ them and start our own office. In this new company, I became Managing Director and Sales Manager, head of a 5-8 people team.
In the meantime, I have been following the real estate investors moving around us as they renovate homes and earn millions on a deal. Together we decided with the family that this would work for us too. On our first purchase, we made every start-up mistake we could make, but we managed to sell it with profit while still under construction. It was a clear signal that we had to continue and since then we have been buying and renovating about 50 homes. The booming real estate market of that time also helped us, and there was a time when every month the purchased home was worth a million more than we predicted at the time of purchase.

In 2016, I decided to put the two activities under one business. Thus Penates Invest Zrt., a family owned real estate company and real estate agency, was established. The office had its highs and lows, sometimes with 22 salesmen working in our office overlooking Móricz Zsigmond Square. But the focus has always been on selling real estate. We are working with several investor partners to increase the number of homes we can renovate and the amount of money we can work with on the market.

In 2018, with a good friend of mine who worked as an IT manager, we embarked on a prop-tech venture to fundamentally reform the region’s real estate trading methods. This company is SMART deposit Zrt., an online contract agency dealing with deposits. After nearly a year of IT development and testing, we will enter the market in 2020. We successfully participated in several startup competitions with the project and verified the project’s validity with the help of serious professional mentors.

Determining the real estate price correctly requires a great deal of market knowledge. As an active player in the real estate market, our company is constantly looking for investment opportunities that are below the market price. Thanks to our extensive network of contacts, we find out about a lot of real estates that are not out in the market and we can see them first. Our financial capital is finite, so we are looking for partner investors. It is possible in several constructions, from a couple of million forints to hundreds of millions.

I have given lectures at several places from 20 people group talks to conferences with 400 agents. The real estate learning process does not stop with an exam. Gaining true knowledge only begins from there!
Currently, I am an active member of several domestic “prop-tech” workgroups, and I was also asked to lead the “prop-tech” division of an emerging “startup hub”. In addition, I deal with our real estate investments, its daily and weekly management, and sales of premium properties.
